For this print-only concept, I reimagined The New York Times special print-only edition through the lens of The New York Times For Kids publication. While preserving familiar aspects of the original print format, I introduced a playful, adventure-inspired layout tailored to younger readers. Inspired by the article “27 Kid-Approved Summer Adventures” by Charley Locke, I transformed summer activities into a hybrid pirate-map–game-board design. Using tile pathways, aged textures, vibrant illustrations, and vintage typography, I created a print experience that encourages exploration and imagination. My print results in an experience that not only attracts young readers visually but also expands the possibilities of how a children’s newspaper can function and feel.
